Cleaning My Craft Table Off

In an attempt to clean my table off, I thought I would make a card with some left over pieces.

So in that process, I got out some Peel n Stick Ruler Tape, a couple of more dies, buttons, a doily, and some paper from the scrap box.

Here is the inside which caused me to cut up another sheet of paper [more bits for the scrap box]. Another set of stamps, one more die and some stickles.

Well now I really NEED to clean off my table, because I have NO place to work!

Stampers Best

Recently I was showing a friend the stamps that I purchased from Stampers Best, I commented how I seem to be collecting stamps and dies about sewing. So I challenged myself and started with my newest stamps.

I sure was tickled when I realized how nice the scissors from The Sewing Kit Rubber Stamp Set fit into the Ticket Strip die. The flowers on The Thinking of You ticket was made with the flowers from the end of the ruler from the same set, and a stamp from Just Rite - With Sympathy set.

The second card I used the Sewing Room die and a stamp from My Minds Eye. I finally used some of those tiny buttons that I had bought years ago!

The inside of both cards is the same. I stamped Flourish Dress Form twice. Once on the background and then on some scrap that was also embossed with LSG Royal Burgundy. The dress was fussey cut, then I used foam tape in the center and glued down the edges. The When I awoke, is from Angel's Attic.
The cards are 5x7 and Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl paper and Brillance ink were used.
Thanks for looking!

Missed Challenge!

Last week over on the Our Daily Bread Blog 'Other then a square or rectangle' challenge. I finished my card on time but didn't post it. I made a Double Swing card inspired by Stampwithtami. I used the God's Love bundle to create the cards. I made six of them, because they were so much fun to make!

I wish the glitter would show up nice!

Use It Up! Wk.8

This project was started several weeks ago because of the challenge made by Sarah. The cover is a cereal box, with ends and one side cute off. I was inspired to use paper clay by Barb and Paperclay Ornaments The word 'to' is die cut. Inspire was also die cute, but I used LSG embossing powder, Royal Burgundy Blue, which I think is my favorite. The paper is packing that had been saved. I sprayed it with A LOT of different LSG Starburst sprays. I did use Rangers Ink Refresher also, but because I used 2 coats of Mod Podge, you can't tell.
The spine is my favorite!! I was inspire by the very creative Jennibellie. I did have to add to beads that I've had around here, but most are paper beads that I had made.

I used the Stack the Deck method to bind. The 8 envelopes, were some large purple ones that I've had FOREVER! I used scraps to cover the envelops and the tags.
My plans for the book is to fill it with quotes and at that time I will embellish it with some the many ribbon, buttons and chipboard pieces that I have.

This is Junior, who was lazily supervising the photo shoot. I had many friends who gave helpful advice in making my book!

Organzing Lindy's

So I'm TRYING to get organzied.

Most of my spray bottles were already filled and the little colored dot put on top. So then the next order came and sat and sat. Finally got around to fixing up the bottles last night. The small shoebox has the LSG Moon Shadow Mist and Adirondac Color Washes. The large has all my Starburst Stains.

This is my spray booth, it's a 14x15in. box that some speakers came in.

These tags have my LSG embossing colors. For each color I stamped with Versamark on white cs and then on black cs. I used the same SU stamp for all of them. I also used the small and large tag punch from SU. The back of the tags I made labels with names of the colors. It is very handy to the differences in the colors.

Well this is part of the UIU challenge, getting my supplies ready!

I wish I was a cat!

My parents asked me to make a card to send to a friend of theirs that needed a bit of cheering. So I've been wanting to try doing something with an image from Free Vintage Stamps this was a perfect opportunity.

Using a word processing program, I imported the image and resized it and then just copied and paste 3 more times. I printed it on 'index weight' paper, then cut out less of the imagine each time.
The first layer was mounted on a piece of cereal box that was put through the Xyron and I colored the lettering.
The second layer the stool was colored, the third her ribbon and socks, the last the kitten and puppy.

I used Twinkling H2Os to color. I decide to glue each layer, because foam dots would make it too high.

The inside I put the patterned paper on some cereal box with the Xyron and cut with the some Sizzix dies.

All of the paper was found in my scrap box.

Use It Up! Wk. 1

So far so good! I've dipped into my beads, wire, brads, and paper stash! A little project that I did to use up the paper scraps from my last mini, was to make some backgrounds for cards.

To make I put a piece of paper through my xyron create a sticker and laid 1 inch strips of paper on it. Next I cut the strips into 1/4 inch strips and put them on a another piece of paper in a paper.
The bottom one was done with cover, I used some black strips to make it a bit larger.
The backgrounds here were made with paper that was in my scrap bin!

Calendar Challenge

Over at Psychomoms YouTube channel she had a challenge to use a calendar that she created. I did two different projects.
The first is an easel card, for the desktop. I got the idea for this over at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog. The colors I used were inspired from their Scrapbook Challenge week 1. I'm entering this in their "In with the new....out with the Old" challenge. My new is the Sweet William Small and Large Stamp Sets and Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powder - Silver Moon Sapphire. My old is Bliss Blue cardstock, retired from SU. The flourish stamp is an Autumn Leaves and the punch is a MS. The brads were colored with a permanent marker.
The second project for the Calendar Challenge is a Yearly at Glance Mini.

I used the beaded binding technique that I learned from aweezielchk on YouTube
I used 22guage wire, I don't think it was heavy enough. The beads are at least 15 yrs. old. The flourish was in a pack of grungeboard, I colored it with a black sharpie and then sprayed it with LSG Starburst Marigold Yellow Orange. The small tag is from SU, that and the brads were also colored with a black sharpie. The multi colored ribbon is from a Christmas collection that is a few years old.
I used up a pad of Boho from Creative Imaginations. Each month has a two page spread, with a calendar on it. I didn't want to make this to demanding or I wouldn't use it. lol

So I figured a "small" amount of journalling and maybe a photo or two.

First Step

Here I am, taking my first step in the land of blogging! I don't know why I've waited so long. Thought I would show the Christmas cards that I made and haven't sent yet.

Now my goal is to address some envelopes and get to the Post Office!
